What is it?
The Functional Medicine 90 Minute Power Hour is a paid legal consultation to educate you about important legal topics + answer your legal questions about functional medicine.
You'll learn what you legally can and can’t do + where the legal risks are.
My goal is for you to reach more clients in an online practice… in a legally safe way.
This is the most direct way to get clarity so you can move forward. (A 1 Hour Power Hour or 30 Minute Power Hour is not enough time.)
It provides grounding, safety, security - and supports your root chakra.
What topics are covered?
You can ask any legal question about your practice like:
- What can - and can’t - I do with functional nutrition under my license?
- How can I legally work with people across state lines?
- How do I protect my license?
- How can I avoid accusations of “the unlicensed practice of medicine”?
- How can I reduce the risk of investigations or lawsuits?
- How can I offer functional lab tests and supplements?
- What type of insurance do I need?
- How can I offer online health coaching without getting in trouble?
- What title am I allowed to use? Can I call myself a “doctor” or “nurse practitioner”?
- Which business entity is right for me?
- How can I offer online courses to people everywhere?
- When do I have to follow HIPAA?
- And so much more...
Who needs it?
- Licensed medical practitioners of all types
- Lifestyle physicians
- Integrative medicine physicians
- Functional medicine physicians
- Physician assistants
- Nurse practitioners + Advanced practice nurses
- Nurses + Nurse coaches operating independently under a license + Nurse Practice Act
- Integrative + Holistic Dentists

Why do you need it?
- If it’s been challenging to get straight answers about functional medicine/nutrition and crossing state lines…
- If it’s been frustrating and confusing because you’ve heard “big name” online practitioners are doing it legally wrong…
- It’s hard finding an attorney who understands this way of doing business…
The Power Hour will save you time, money and stress as you learn the legally safe and smart way to work with more people across the country - and even the world.
Because I DON’T want you to…
- Put yourself or your income in jeopardy.
- Make a risky mistake, wing it - or “guess” if you’re doing it right.
- Be accused of practicing medicine without a license.
- Get investigated because you’re doing labs or offering supplements illegally.
- Use the wrong title and get in trouble.
- Violate nutrition or medical laws.
- Live in a state of worry that you’re doing something wrong.
You don’t want to do any of that.
This Power Hour will help you avoid risky behavior, stay safe + ease your mind.
Why am I the right lawyer to learn from?
Other lawyers don’t know this area of the law.
State boards and agencies often can’t give you the answers.
Clients have said other lawyers quoted them $12,000+ just to research this topic!
- I’m one of very few with expertise in medical, nutrition + coaching laws. (Many lawyers know one or 1 or 2 of these areas, but not all 3.)
- I’m a former health care attorney AND health + life coach trained through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and CoachU.
- I’ve worked with functional medicine practitioners online for 13 years.
- I understand the legal issues + risks you’re facing.
You want more flexibility in how + where you work…but you want to do it in a legal and ethical way.
I’ve worked with (literally) hundreds of practitioners - just like you - who have gotten the clarity they need through a Power Hour.
Now you can too.

Important Notes:
I generally educate you about legal concepts + answer questions about functional medicine/nutrition and crossing state lines.
The law is black and white - not grey - about “the practice of medicine” + what requires a license. I will be clear + direct about legal lines. You are free to take as much risk as you wish.
I can help you get clarity, but it doesn’t replace working with a local attorney.
I might recommend your next step is speaking with a local attorney about your situation.
