How long does Trademarking take?
10-12 months on average. It’s a long process. The Trademark Search is completed in 7 days, if not sooner.
It’s never guaranteed because the USPTO has its own discretion, like judges in courts. But we maximize approval as much as possible through our 2-step Trademarking process.

Step 1: Trademark Search
Before filing your Trademark Application, we do a legal search to ensure no one else already owns a similar trademark.
A Trademark Search checks for potential conflicts—and saves you from wasting time and money on an Application that might get rejected.
Here’s how it works:
- Receive an email from us with instructions.
- Complete the Prep Sheet to list your brand and how you plan to use it.
- I conduct a deep Trademark Search across multiple databases.
- We hop on a 30-minute Results Call to discuss the results + next step.
- If things look good, we move forward with the Application. If not, we stop—so you’re not throwing money down the drain.
Note: The Trademark Search covers 1 phrase or logo. Have more? Get separate Trademark Searches for each, since they have to be searched separately.
After the required Step 1 Trademark Search, we move to Step 2: Trademark Application – Full-Service Filing.

Can I do it myself?
No, Trademarking on your own is not wise. Trademarking can appear to be deceptively easy- but it’s not.
