why do you need it?
This law is about financial crimes. It’s trying to root out money laundering, financing of terrorism, and people who hide money or financially benefit in illegal ways.
This law now requires most business owners to file a BOI Report.
What if you don’t file a BOI Report? What can happen?
Here are the penalties…(be warned – they’re harsh!)
1. Fines of $500 for each DAY that you don’t file the BOI Report. (That’s $500 a DAY!)
2. Criminal penalties of up to 2 years in jail AND another fine of up to $10,000.
Whew! This is why you need to take the BOI Report seriously and get it done now!
