Offering a single session of your client services? Read this…
Do you work 1-on-1 with clients? If so, you have probably heard me talk (for years!) about the importance of using the DIY Client Agreement.
Well, I have good news!
If you’re offering a 1-off session to a client, we now have a new version DIY legal template SPECIFICALLY for when you offer just a SINGLE SESSION!
When would you use it?
If you’re working 1-on-1 with clients (online or in person) and offering:
- A single, stand-alone coaching session
- A 90-Minute Deep Dive Session with you (or any amount of time)
- Any kind of 1-off session sold a la carte (not part of a larger program)
You can use the NEW DIY Client Agreement for a Single Session for a 1-off session when your 1-on-1 client pays up front and in full.
You do want to use a written agreement even if you’re offering just 1 session. That’s why we created this new DIY Client Agreement for a Single Session.
You’ll love this document because it’s more concise than the regular DIY Client Agreement, but still has strong legal language and covers no-shows, refund requests, disclaimers and more.
(Note that it doesn’t include installment payment plans or other language needed for multiple sessions so it is NOT recommended for use with longer programs.)
It’s specifically designed for 1-off paid in full sessions.
A written Client Agreement is one of the best ways to protect yourself and secure your income because it puts all of your policies in writing to back you up.

Here’s to a new way to protect yourself and your income from a single client session!
If you’re already using the regular DIY Client Agreement with your clients for single sessions, that’s okay. You don’t have to switch to this document if you don’t want to, but you can if you want something a little more compact. Your regular DIY Client Agreement still works though.
Remember, Client Agreements are used for one-on-one services for coaches and non-licensed practitioners. (If you’re a licensed practitioner who is wanting to get into the online space for 1-on-1 work, please book a free 20-minute Legal Chat with my team BEFORE you use a Client Agreement because it may not be right for you depending on what you want to do.)
