I’ve seen 3 kinds of biz owners hit hard by clients asking for refunds. I’m guessing that you don’t want to be one of them:
1. Some biz owners think they will only attract “good people.” Wrong!
So many biz owners think they can “trust their gut” and “spot a bad egg” during a discovery call or intro session…but trust me, eventually a bad egg will make it into your carton.
2. Some biz owners say, “I can write my own refund policy.” Wrong!
When you copy and paste a random policy, it can create gaps leaving you exposed. (By the way, it’s also unethical and “bad juju” to copy or steal others’ work.) It’s hard to foresee loopholes if you try to duct tape your own policy together without legal assistance. *mike drop*
3. Some biz owners think legal docs will attract negative energy. Wrong!
Some soul-centered entrepreneurs worry they’ll be less spiritual because they’d be contributing to a negative legal system or attracting legal pickles. But, what they don’t realize is that by taking PROACTIVE legal steps, they REDUCE the risk of legal snafus happening in the first place.
