I hope you had a wonderful holiday season and took some time to relax with friends and family. I had an INCREDIBLE trip to Costa Rica with my family to celebrate my father’s 70th birthday.

We toured a coffee plantation, walked along an active volcano (!), ziplined through the cloud forests, braved the hanging bridges, and boated through canals to see mangroves, monkeys, crocodiles, birds, iguanas & lizards. It was AMAZING!

But now I am home and it’s New Year’s Day! A fresh start. A new beginning. A clean slate.

I love to get clear on my core desired feelings (CDFs) and intentions for the year ahead. I write them out using Danielle LaPorte’s 2016 Desire Map Planner (Daily Edition). #daniellelaporte #desiremapplanner

In 2015, my CDFs were my “3 Es” – ease, electric & expansion. Here’s how they panned out:

Well, I honestly didn’t have much “ease” this year, considering I “expanded” immensely with a lot of “electric” new events and courses that stretched me immensely:

  • held 2 launches of my legal course “get legally covered so you can go bare”
  • launched “Damsel goes bare” with Gena Shingle Jaffe
  • spoke publicly as a featured speaker at 2 conferences
  • was interviewed as a legal guest expert on over 50 podcasts, bonus calls, radio shows and interviews
  • held a Legal Love Giveaway where I awarded $1,500 of free legal services to a lucky winner
  • signed a book contract (forthcoming in 2016!)
  • traveled internationally on 3 vacations PURELY FOR PLEASURE – Iceland, Toronto, and Costa Rica!

However, I recently took Elena Lispon’s “66 Sacred Rituals” course to build more self-care time and rituals into each day and I am ready to create more “ease” in 2016 so I am ON IT.  #betterlatethannever #divineselfcare

My business has boomed so much this year that I have a waiting list of 3-4 weeks to work with me, and I don’t like to disappoint people so I have been sacrificing my own self-care to be of service to others. (Can you relate?)

Soooo, in 2016 I would like to more consciously plan my time and create more loving boundaries in life and work.

It’s always a little scary to draw new lines, at least for me, but my Desire Map Planner will keep me on track with planning my time and recording my daily intentions each morning when I sit down to work, including my gratitudes, sacred self-care rituals, and daily CDFs.

I don’t know about you, but this year I am READY to indulge my spirit and soul in more self-care AND serve my clients from a place of love and kindness.

It’s all about the “AND”! #andismybrand

Ahhh – it feels good just claiming that!

How about you? How will you be more conscious of how you use your time and energy in 2016? What are your core desired feelings for this year? I’d love to hear!

Here’s to making time for your own self-care, setting intentions for the year to come, and an amazing start to 2016!
