So, WHAT’S a Legal Coach® exactly?
Thank you for asking, (Hint: I’m the only one!)
I am an Attorney AND a Holistic Life and Health Coach.
Everyone always asks how I cross-trained in law and holistic health…
After law school, I landed a job at a large, well-regarded law firm.
It came with a generous paycheck, but all I did was work.
As a Corporate Health Care Attorney, I dedicated long days and nights to succeeding in a very stressful and competitive environment.
As a result, at the age of 30, I had what I refer to as my “early-life crisis.”
My body was begging me to get sunshine, my adrenal glands had crashed, and I lived on sugar and caffeine. I knew there had to be more to life than sitting in an office and working a million hours a week.
I wanted to feel happy and vibrant and light.
I knew deep down that something had to change, so I hired a Life Coach. I discovered that I needed to give myself permission to express my true self and align my “outside” life to my “inside” feelings. It was such a gift.
I realized that I wanted to help other people experience this feeling of alignment and living their truth.
So, much to my own surprise, I BECAME a Life Coach. #whowouldhaveguessed
I trained at CoachU for 3 years—the school that birthed life coaching and well-known coaches like Cheryl Richardson and Marie Forleo.
I then met my husband which was great (yay!), but still something was missing. I still had a hard time shaking sugar, so in 2011 I enrolled in IIN to learn more about food + mood, and I became an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach.
I started my own successful Holistic Health and Life Coaching practice.
In my first year of Health Coaching alone, I gave over 70 paid corporate wellness seminars, worked with over 100 clients, and taught people to drink green smoothies, try kale, and lose weight. #lovedit
I even became a Mastery Coach in the Transformational Coaching Method through Holistic MBA.
But, then something totally unexpected happened.
Other Health Coaches and entrepreneurs started to ask me legal questions because they felt intimidated, stressed and confused about the legal stuff.
They were SO RELIEVED that I could help them feel safe, secure, and more at ease with legally protecting themselves and their businesses. #happyclients
It felt really good to share my legal knowledge and encourage other coaches and entrepreneurs to take key legal steps, one step at a time as they grow their businesses.
So in June 2012, I switched gears and announced that I was a Legal Coach®.
And, as a Holistic Lawyer®, I align each legal step with a chakra.
Now I LOVE being able to show coaches and entrepreneurs that the law isn’t negative or scary – and that legal documents can protect your biz in PRACTICAL ways to cover you buns AND support you in SPIRITUAL ways to plug money leaks, strengthen your boundaries and up your business vibe. #winwin
